✔️BEHAVIOR

Our guests are respectful and considerate of other guests and handle our property with care. We reserve the right to refuse you access to Casa Amalia or to evict you, without refund: - if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicating substance, - if you are rude or disrespectful to our staff or other guests, - if you disturb the peace of other guests, - if you attempt to use our property for an illegal purpose or if you attempt to destroy or damage it, - if you exceed the maximum permitted room occupancy of 2 people for standard room or 4 people for double-queen room.

✔️SMOKING 🚭

Casa Amalia is a smokey-free property. This also applies to e-cigarettes.
If you do choose to smoke inside an accommodation, we reserve the right to charge you a $250 fine or evict you.

✔️MINIMUM AGE

We welcome guests aged 12 and over.

✔️PETS

Pets are not allowed in our property.

✔️CHECK-IN

Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM.

✔️CHECK-OUT

Check-out is no later than 10:00 AM.

At check-out, you must leave all towels at the property. This also applies to the blue towels.

✔️CLEANING🧹

Cleaning is offered once a week. If you would like clean towels, you can exchange used ones with us on weekday mornings.

✔️PESTS 🪳🐜🐭

Ants and cockroaches love bread, sugar, and various other foods. Don't leave these open. Close them tightly or store them in the refrigerator. Regularly dispose of your trash in the green bins located in the parking lot. This minimizes the risk of pests in your accommodation! You can get new garbage bags from us if needed. In the tropics, it's crucial to dispose of your trash regularly and clean everything immediately, otherwise you'll quickly find ants and cockroaches in your accommodation. Waste isn't separated in Curaçao; everything goes in the same container.

✔️OUR FACILITIES

Our facilities are exclusively for our guests. Visitors are not permitted to use them.

✔️POOL

Our pool is 1 meter deep.

Our pool is cleaned twice a week by a pool cleaning company. We kindly ask for your cooperation so they can do their job.

Women are not allowed to be topless in any part of the pool. In our culture, toplessness is considered vulgar.

Don't use glass or wine glasses in or around the pool. Keep it safe for yourself and others! You can use the plastic cups if you want to drink something at the pool.

We have a limited number of lounge chairs by the pool, so there are never too many people around. There's plenty of seating in the pool for our guests to enjoy a chat. If a lounger is unoccupied, it's available for anyone who wants to sit on it. Towels left on unoccupied loungers will be removed and hung on the clothesline.

✔️TOWELS

Each room is provided with 1 large white towel per person (according to reservation), 1 small white towel, 1 white mat and 1 large blue towel per person.

The white towels are for use in the bathroom, and the blue towels are for use at the pool. The existing towels are replaced during cleaning.

👉You must bring your own towels/beach towels for the beach.

When checking out, you must leave all towels in the accommodation. This also applies to the blue towels. If you lose our towels, we will charge the following fees: large white towel $15, small white towel $10, white mat $15, and large blue towel $20.

✔️EXTRA BED

We do not have extra beds.

✔️INSECT REPELLENT

We kindly ask that you do not spray repellent while in your room. Insect repellents are very oily, and if it gets on furniture it will bleach its color. Furthermore, repellent that gets on the floor creates a significant slipping hazard. Please do not place the repellent bottle on the furniture.

Use the insect repellent when you are in the parking lot and you can leave your repellent in the car so you always have it close by.

✔️PARKING

You can use our open parking lot for free, but it's entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for your car. It's wise to take out comprehensive insurance when renting a car.

✔️WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE

We are not responsible for lost items or items you leave behind after checking out. When checking out, please check your locker, all drawers, and cabinets thoroughly. Items left behind will not be shipped.

✔️TRAVELERS WITH PHYSICAL CHALLENGES

Casa Amalia is located above street level, and unfortunately, our facilities are not designed to accommodate guests with special needs. Casa Amalia is only accessible via a staircase with at least 18 steps.

✔️SECURITY CAMERAS 🎥

We have installed Wi-Fi security cameras on our property. We do NOT have cameras in the accommodations. Our guests have complete privacy in their room.

✔️LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

On Curaçao, we speak Papiamentu, but most people also speak some English.

✔️OUR ROOMS ARE NOISY🔇

Please be considerate of other guests.
